Crittenden Estate is delighted to again be hosting the Essential Theatre Group as they celebrate their 17th summer of Shakespeare in the Vines. These passionate theatre makers re-interpret the classic texts for modern audiences, guaranteeing you a night to remember.
You will be taken on a spell binding ride, as the grounds of Crittenden Estate transforms into the magical land of Athens.
On a Midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves wrapped in the dream-like arms of an enchanted forest where sprites play and fairies rule. The course of true love is anything but smooth, and games of fantasy, love and dreams ensue in Shakespeare’s most wondrous comedy.
Bring the whole family, as this one delights and tickles everyone’s imagination!

Sundays at the briars
6th January 2019: 11am - 5pm
Running consecutively on the last Sunday of every month, throughout spring and summer, Sunday Sessions at the Briars are the coolest FREE family events on the Mornington Peninsula. The events showcase the best live music from local musicians, a locally stocked bar, local food tucks, pony rides, parking and an abundance of kid’s activities including craft run by family focused local businesses.
We offer activities for the kids and provide local entertainment so that the adults can relax and enjoy their Sundays.
Mornington Christmas Twilight Market
15th December 2018 - 3pm - 8pm
An annual shopping pilgrimage for many Melbournians, visitors to these fabulous evenings always go home with a smile, a full belly and plenty of Christmas gifts to put under the Christmas tree.
Showcasing over 320 stalls run by passionate makers, artists, inventors, bakers and sewers featuring stalls selling all manner of goods from traditional market fare to creative new products not available elsewhere.
On from 3pm until 8pm.
Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy dinner on the lawn, taking in the festive atmosphere and listening to free live music. The Mornington Racecourse Market is a success story in it’s own right for the past 15 years.
Red Hill Community Market

Red Hill is the 'grand dame' of Victoria's craft markets. Located in one of the State's most picturesque settings, Red Hill Community Market started in 1975 as a community based event where 28 local producers and crafts people came to sell and barter their goods and excess produce. While the bartering is a thing of the past, the atmosphere, colour and excitement of those early years is still very much alive. Soak in the exceptional atmosphere and regenerate your senses at one of our delightful markets. There is something for everyone from old world to modern contemporary, a labyrinth of unique treasures worth discovering. Dedicated commitment to quality brings together over 300 talented stallholders who regularly demonstrate enormous pride in their work by producing original creations of the highest quality. It's a proven feast for the mind, body and soul, a fascinating eclectic mix of textures, materials and colours that make up the vast range of individually designed products. There is little doubt that on the first Saturday of the month (sept to May) between 8am and 1pm, the Red Hill Community Market is the place to be, Set the alarm clock nice and early if you want to avoid the crowds. An early arrival will also ensure you miss the long queue's that form at the stalls selling tiny pancakes and other tasty breakfast treats.
