This sensational Blairgowrie holiday house is the ultimate private retreat. Nestled close to the Back Beach, access is a few steps away. Feel the sea breeze from the extensive rear garden, while dining al fresco or watching the children play.
You will feel a world away with the period features of this house. Be wowed by the period entrance and marble hallway floors. The front lounge room is tastefully furnished and is the perfect place to relax in the warmth of the summer sun streaming in from the bay windows, or in winter in front of the period fireplace. This room is well equipped for entertainment, complete with a plasma TV, Library and games. The adjacent dining room is furnished with a superb Regency dining table (to seat 8) and sideboard full with elegant crockery.
Enjoy a game of billiards/pool before/after dinner, or retire outdoors to relax through the French doors.
The open plan newly renovated kitchen (November 2009) with gorgeous caesar stone benchtops and blanco appliances is fully stocked with cooking utensils and overlooks a neighbouring tennis court.
There are 4 bedrooms - all tastefully furnished. The master queen bedroom (with new ensuite (October 2009) - shower, toilet) has a gorgeous antique styled sleigh bed. This room is the perfect parents retreat, complete with a couch and separate TV. Further rooms include a Queen (with robes), a single bed (with trundle) and robes, a king single and trundle with robes.
The main bathroom has marble floors, an antique claw foot bath and basin, a shower and there is a separate toilet.
The entire property is planted in native bush and is brimming with wildlife, so that you only hear the sounds of birds and the sea when you wake. All rooms receive and abundance of light.
There is off street parking for 2 cars.

Area description
Enjoy plenty of the local outdoor activities close to Rose Cottage, including an abundance of coastal walks, beach activities (this is a popular spot for surfing) and golf at one of the many top Peninsula courses only minutes away by car. Blairgowrie Village on the front bay beach is only minutes by car and Sorrento 5 minutes. The Queenscliff Car Ferry, which will transport you across the Bay, is 8 minutes drive.
